When asked what is the difference between being an engineer and an educator? Sean's reply was - "The wealth of experiences from the systematic & analytical training trying to simulate ideal scenarios in the real world as an engineer allows me to anticipate unforeseen circumstances when investing. The ability to impact and influence one's life is the power an educator possesses."

An engineer is always on the look-out for solutions for problems. Hence, the training and work experiences an engineer gained from solving the problems build up his researching skills as well as his quest for life long learning. He has become very analytic and rational through the years because of his engineering experience, always asking for the reasons of justifications when solving problems and investing his money. He see a trend in the global world having a shortage of sufficient engineers to sustain the world economies. Students are shunning engineering trainings to go for easier courses other than engineering. He advises if one is serious about making real money in the future world to pick up engineering as a basic training, next gain sufficient business & entrepreneurial acumens and not forgetting to increase one's financial quotient. Excellent values are the backbones to guide one to live a successful and meaningful life.

An educator without enough life experiences is dangerous because the power and position an educator has been given can have a detrimental effects on lots of lives. How can one be a good educator if one lacks sufficient life experiences to share and guide the younger people? It takes great, conscience heart to be a good educator as the educator's intention should be for good intentions. The challenges of an educator is not just to facilitate the transfer of knowledge but to facilitate the transfer of knowledge to a level for easy application in one's life. As knowledge without practice is of no use in the real world. One can hold a first class honour degree in qualification but fails to survive in this real changing world. The higher standard for an educator to surpass is to motivate an individual to a level that he is self-motivated enough to start learning and conquering the world himself without the teacher being there.

Opinions between being an engineer and an educator need not be accepted by all but he believes that everyone has the right to have their own views and judgments. It's just an acceptance or rejection of an opinion depending on one's level of maturity and how liberal one's mindset is.
